职位描述：
Responsibilities:
1. The Product Design Engineer will be expected to travel as required to support customer and company objectives. Approx. 80% of time will be spent on CAD in the office
2. Generate concept designs, identifying problems and solutions and delivering detailed designs
3. Ensure component designs are production feasible, using Design for Manufacture/Assembly
4. Support prototype build, product testing, product design timing plans and ongoing production needs
5. Liaise with customers’ Engineers to achieve design requirements
6. Obtain and control package information from customers
7. Produce three dimensional solid models to support customer requirements
8. Produce two dimensional Engineering drawings for prototype/production use with capable dimensional tolerances/GDT
9. Work concurrently with CAE Design Analyst to develop appropriate structural solutions to meet performance requirements
10. Arrange and lead design / feasibility reviews and ensure all released designs have formal manufacturing feasibility approval
11. Support DFMEA, VA/VE, QFD and GDT team reviews
12. Ensure departmental project compliance with ISO/TS16949
13. Identify any training requirements and follow up.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. An understanding of stamping, tooling and welding processes would be a benefit.
2. An understanding of CAD requirements and highly skilled in Siemens NX.
3. Understanding of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
4. Good communication skills to interact at all levels across the business including customers and suppliers
5. The ability to generate design concepts that are fit for purpose, directionally correct and support the company’s overall objectives and strategy
6. Ability to understand, interpret and act upon results from design analysis to optimize component designs
7. Knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word
8. Strong team-working skills, decision-making, and ability to provide direction as appropriate.
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum of two year degree with experience though a four-year college degree is preferred with a major in engineering.
2. 3-5 years’ experience automotive engineering design (preferably in chassis components)
3. Proficient in Siemens NX
4. Knowledge of Catia V5 and Team Center is an added plus 举报 分享

The China R&D center was started in 2010 .The company’s plan for china R&D center is not to create a supporting team for Europe, but to build up an independent and capable team and to have a full R&D function in China. All the employees in China R&D center have had a long term training in Europe and UK to get a full understanding of our products and knowledge of design. Till now the China R&D team has already supported or leaded many projects, like Volvo SPA chassis platform, BMW G05 link.
In order to offer our clients more technical support and to meet their needs, Gestamp decided to build a new R&D center in Shanghai international automobile city to strength its local testing and prototyping capabilities. The new R&D center will be put into service at the end of 2016, it will have a more comprehensive R&D function including: product development, concept design, material researching, testing, prototyping etc. We are aimed to give more professional, more efficient and more economical service to our clients.
