Broad Functional Description:

Performs Controls engineering duties under the direction of the project Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities:

1) Performs controls engineering duties as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project’s Senior Project Engineer.

2) Assists Chief and Staff, and Senior Engineers in the development of standards, identifying proven designs for re-use.

3) Assists in preparing System Specifications as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project’s Senior Project Engineer.

4) Ability to take a concept to design completion and produce a complete electrical drawing Pkg.

5) Knowledge of AutoCAD is a must

6) Knowledge of Electrical Hardware design is a must

7) Knowledge of sensors, pressure, flow, temperature, force, torque as well as instrumentation

8) Siemens or similar PLC and HMI experience is desirable

9) Involved with FMEA considerations related to projects, as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project’s Senior Project Engineer.

10) Participates in design reviews associated with projects as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with Senior Project Engineers.

11) Maintains awareness of/adherence to project budgets and timelines.

12) Assists Staff Engineers, as directed, with proposal preparation.

13) Assures conformance to Quality/ISO and customer specifications.

14) Maintains perpetually current records regarding project related activities.

15) Such other tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

1) Minimum of 4 year university degree in Engineering or equivalent in applicable practical experience.

2) Five (5) years controls engineering experience in project related business.

3) Familiarity with machine tool industry capital equipment.

4) Effective communication/presentation skills.

5) Able to communicate in English and Chinese, spoken and written
