Position Title: Sales Engineer
Reports To: Director of Sales/General Manager

Broad Functional Description:
Sells primarily assembly and test equipment, including integrated systems through the utilization of in-depth application/product/market knowledge, established customer/prospective customer contacts as well as cold calling, demonstrating a technically conversant presentation.
Responsibilities:
1. Calls on customer's management representatives such as project managers, engineers, buyers, manufacturing or other professional and technical personnel to promote advantages of purchasing ADT's products and/or systems.
2. Reviews, independently and with appropriate internal personnel, blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics and other documents/notes to develop a clear understanding of the customer's/prospective customer's application and requirements.
3. Develops and/or proposes, in concert with ADT engineering, manufacturing and purchasing personnel, changes in equipment, processes or use of materials or services that would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
4. Participates in the Proposal, Line-up and Kick-off processes, as directed, to assure timely and accurate information is communicated both internally and externally.
5. Maintains close liaison with customer(s) during all phases of the project to assure that all issues are addressed and satisfactorily resolved in a timely matter.
6. Coordinates prompt delivery of technical services to clients regarding use, operation and maintenance of equipment.
7. Prepares formal sales plans, strategies and reports as directed.
8. Maintains comprehensive and perpetually current documentation of all Sales activities.
9. Maintains rigid adherence to internal as well as customer/prospective customer safety rules and procedures.
10. Develops customer relationships at all levels of management
11. Provides market research on new and upcoming potential programs
12. Provides strategic input regarding specific projects including, competitiveness, cost, delivery and relationships that can assist ADT in obtaining the project.
13. Holds technical meetings with customers and effectively communicates requirements internally
14. Maintains customer relationships and assists in equipment pre-acceptance and final acceptance.
15. Provides translation support when required
16. Assist in establishing relationships with local partners and suppliers
17. Extensive travel is required

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and ten years sales account experience in the material handling/special machine industry along with familiarity with Project Management activities related thereto; or equivalent combination of education and experience..
2. Demonstrated interactive abilities including formal group presentation skills. Interpersonally skilled in dealing with all levels of personnel and problem solving.
3. Demonstrated effectiveness in utilizing negotiating skills.
4. Has excellent command of English Language
5. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
