Fluid Dynamic Research Scientist (Intern)

Senior Research Engineer(Intern): Fluid Dynamic Modeling & Analysis
 
Job Description:
? Solid background in fluid dynamics with advanced knowledge in at least one of the following areas: aerodynamics, aeromechanics, turbo-machinery, turbulence models and acoustics;
? Apply the fundamental knowledge of contemporary CFD techniques and strong analytical skills to the various design applications with good understanding of flow physics;
? Collaborate within inter-disciplinary project teams in fields such as building air flow and compression systems, axial and radial turbomachinery, fluid-structure interaction, large scale unsteady flow;
? Demonstrate innovation in the delivery of advanced technology and through creative analysis and problem solving;
? Communicate research results effectively through both verbal and written means;
? Participate in the creation of research proposals to UTC business units and government agencies.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
? Master or Ph.D candidate in mechanical/aerospace engineering or a closely related field.
? Experience in the application of computational fluid dynamics and analytical skills to the development of new technology.
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in both China and USA.
? Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
? Expert knowledge with 5+ years experience in fluid mechanics and/or aerodynamics.
? Deliver to challenging technical objectives through creative problem solving and innovative thinking.
? Demonstrated ability to be good team player of multi-disciplinary teams to successfully achieve technical objectives under time constraints.
? Record of technical contributions including patents and publications.
