POSITION TITLE: Digital Marketing Manager - China
 
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for executing marketing campaigns and provide marketing support for our events to grow Investorist’s client base in China.
 
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for increasing brand awareness, implementing Lead Generation campaigns and driving overall User Engagement via automated marketing campaigns, social selling techniques and managing engagement and interactivity with our audience.
 
This role works directly with our General Manager - Asia and Shanghai team but also reports into our Global Digital Marketing team based in an Australia as a key deliverable is to implement our global marketing strategies but localise these specifically for the China market and then report back on successes and ways we can improve.
 
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will plan, schedule, implement and execute digital initiatives for the China market with the aim of driving leads and building engagement with our existing audience. They will be an integral member of the Global Marketing team with responsibility for building effective digital campaigns, including media selection and scheduling, campaign messaging and creative execution.
 
It is expected the role will work closely with other team members both in our China office but also reporting back to our Head Office and sharing with our US & UK teams as well.
 
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
· To raise brand awareness, increase our overall platform usage and audience engagement in China
· Develop a fully digital tactical plan for China that delivers on the overall Investorist China strategy (as developed by the Global Digital Marketing Director and General Manager Asia)
· Implement the online Lead Generation strategy for China, coordinating with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness and report on results so it can be continuously optimised
· To plan, implement and evaluate digital campaigns
· Coordinate and support China based events and exhibitions for our global members
Manage and execute our social media presence and channels for our Chinese audience to drive engagement with our platform
· To develop and foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, effective delivery of campaigns in a timely and brand-consistent manner
 
 
SELECTION CRITERIA:
· Tertiary qualifications in a communications or marketing discipline with demonstrated specific digital marketing experience
· Minimum five years practical experience in the areas of digital marketing, lead generation and social media
· Strong understanding of Internet marketing metrics and reporting including Baidu Analytics and content marketing/user engagement metrics
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – both Mandarin and English
· Demonstrated experience in maintaining brand standards
· A proven track record in a role that demanded self-motivation, service-orientation, marketing and business development skills
· An ability to develop, nurture and manage positive working relationships and deliver excellent client service with both internal and external clients
· A demonstrated ability to project manage a range of projects and effectively prioritise competing demands
· Self-motivated with proven ability to problem solve and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
· Excellent process-oriented organisational skills
· Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent Microsoft office experience and specific digital marketing software and platforms including: WeChat, Baidu, Email Marketing Platforms, Web Analytics
 
COMPETENCY:
 
Online Campaigns & Lead Generation
· In consultation with the Global Digital Marketing Team, develop and implement the annual online tactical plan
· Develop and maintain campaign schedules to ensure all activity is strategic, integrated, targeted and measurable against clear campaign objectives
· With the General Manager Asia, manage the day-to-day relationship with any external digital agencies or marketing support suppliers
· Online campaign strategy development, implementation and evaluation,
· Develop creative briefs for the internal design team
· Campaign spend performance
· Regular reporting on activity
· Brand consistent tactical executions
· Copywriting for internally produced campaign initiatives
· Report on advertising activity and make recommendations for future initiatives
 
 
Online Community Management
· Implement the online community strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness and providing superior quality of customer service and support to our community with the help of various communication tools
· Compile or generate compelling editorial content and manage a schedule of content for the site communities to engage with, and lead them into contributing their own high quality content across the entire online space
· Moderate all User Generated Content according to the Moderation policy (to be developed)
· Manage communities located in social networking sites including the official Investorist WeChat channel
· Regularly feedback insights gained from community monitoring into the Marketing and Sales teams to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
· Develop effective benchmarks for measuring the growth of the community, and analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of new initiatives
· Monitor trends in online community tools, trends and applications and report on required changes
 
 
Branding
· Champion brand and ensure adherence to brand guidelines in all communication initiatives, meetings and events
· Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with brand across all mediums and communication channels
· Adherence to brand guidelines

Market Research/ Intelligence
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of key markets and relevant demographics, and identify new or emerging market opportunities.
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity.
