Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

The Huadian GE Aero Gas Turbine Equipment Co.,Ltd is a newly built –up Joint Venture between the China leading distributed energy solution provider CHD and the world leading Aero Gas Turbine manufacturer GE Aeroderivative Energy with investment 100-million US Dollar. The JV is located in Xin Zhuang Industry Park,Min Hang District, Shanghai, China. We are looking for a Test Engineer that will implement the Aero Gas Turbine units testing operations and have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the layout of pipe routing and identification of location of mechanical components.
• Responsible for prepare point to point docking external piping system and troubleshooting including lub oil system, cooling water system, ventilation system etc.
• Able to calibrate and monitor various fluid level and Control flow meter while in the testing process.
• Understanding of the controls and operation of a GTG package through dynamic testing procedure and familiar the strip chart of the operating conditions.
• Knowledge and the ability to use certain test instruments and hand tools.
• Maintenance and operation of test line equipment. (disconnect breakers, gas compressor, diesel generator, fuel pumps, cooling towers, emissions monitoring equipment, flushing equipment, engine preservation equipment, static test equipment, oil spill equipment, various hand tools, etc.)
• Maintain test equipment, clean-up oil and clean around shop.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings; read and understand testing report.
• Conduct the field service/support at the customers' job site, including both domestic and overseas as required.
• Support the units installation and commissioning the customers'job site as required.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned and exercise good housekeeping practices in assigned work area.
• Ability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice.
• Conform to all safety and quality requirements and in accordance with current policies and procedures
• Perform all duties as part of a team and serve as change agent to help improve on current processes

Qualifications/Requirements:

Applicants must meet these qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree of engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
• At least 3-5 years working experience was required.
• Proactive. Proven strong ability to execution.
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Strong problem solving skill; result- oriented; innovative; adaptable; self –motivated; have teamwork spirit.
• Good in English and mandarin (verbal & written).

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Desired:

GE aeroderivative gas turbine package testing experience or GE Field Service Technician (TA) experience Strong fundamental working knowledge of turbomachinery testing and operating processes Lean Six Sigma leadership experience
