Main responsibilities:

1. Implementation of new OnStar wireless capabilities, services, features, and technologies.

2. System-level ownership of new OnStar programs.

3. Ensure that new programs are appropriately approved, scoped, specified and integrated across the organization with appropriate documentation and completion of failure mode analysis.

4. Coordinate engineering support for technical issues and root cause analysis for engineering related product problems.

Knowledge:

• 3-5 years of automotive electronics or telematics related design, development, validation, or program management experience.
• Working knowledge of automotive electronics, test tools and methods, vehicle communications protocols.
• Knowledge of end-to-end telematics systems including client hardware (GPS, wireless communication devices and chipsets, vehicle interfaces), wireless networks (GSM, CDMA, 3G/4G), and test tools and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of vehicle architectures, particularly in the areas of audio/entertainment, displays, theft, occupant protection, and serial data buses.
• Experience with hardware/software specification, design, development, and validation.
• Competency in MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)

Education and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in a related technical field.

Preferred:

• MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in a related technical field.

Skills:

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills (English as well).
• Strong motivational skills.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and handle ambiguity.
• High level of analytical/problem solving skills.
