Responsibilities:
The In Control and Compliance Manager is responsible for important topics like:
？ Support the BU In Control Officer in the design and validation of the control framework for the BU China Legal Entities;
o Developing a detailed planning for the each BU China Legal Entity to ensure that sign-off in the self assessment tool on all levels is done in time (based on the overall central planning and deliverables);
o Responsible for the roll-out and completion of the In Control Self Assessments for BU China Legal Entities and the support, providing best practices, act as sounding board and quality review, as well as organizing adequate and timely follow-up;
o Act as liaison person for the Internal Audit department and External Auditors;
？ Support the BU Compliance Officer and Act as liaison person for Compliance and the Corporate Compliance department;
o Communication, education and monitoring of Corporate Directives o Keep up-to-date on local Chinese business customs, regulations and practices and design programs in China that meet local requirements.
o Liaison with Corporate to keep them informed of business practices that are unique to China but necessary to operate in the Chinese market.
o Administer and track code of conduct and compliance trainings in conjunction with Compliance Officers and HR.
o Act as liaison person for SpeakUp! investigations in China.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated high level of integrity;
- Good communication skills;
- Proficiency in English;
- Ability to influence others to understand local business practices.
- Proactive attitude;
- Result oriented;
- Knowledge and experience with administrative organization and internal controls;
- Familiar with COSO framework;
- Audit experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of Financial standards;
- Preferably: Knowledge of the AkzoNobel organization and a minimum of two years of experience working in a (s)BU;
- Preferably: Knowledge of Risk Management and capability to execute Risk Management sessions.
