Application engineer

Function of the Position:
In order to ensure Knick China growth, we are looking for an application engineer to take care of customer requirements and project specifications regarding our electrical interface product range. This position will report directly to Knick China General Manager and work closely with Knick Germany technical team, Knick China clients as well as its vendors.

Role and responsibilities:
? Introduce Knick, its product and technologies to clients and resellers,
? identify and follow up the clients and resellers in the targeted market segments,
? Understand and specify the client’s requirements, challenges and needs,
? Design a specific solution for each project by ensuring the best performance, reliability and cost efficiency,
? Follow up the projects at all stages,
? Keep close contact with the different contacts and monitor the communication between the clients technical team and Knick,
? Overseeing the market projects, technologies and evolutions,
? Ensure service at site: Installation supervision/commissioning/training,
? Responsible for after sales service,
? Any other administration duty assigned by manager.

Requirements:
? Native Mandarin, Fluent English and German would be appreciated,
? Minimum 5 years’ experience with project engineering responsibilities,
? Deep understanding of electrical isolators, electrical interfaces and safety barriers in Low/Medium/High voltage applications,
? Experience with large infrastructure projects,
? Foreign company and environment experience,
? Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or automation Engineering,
? Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook),
? Ability to travel regularly,
? Willing to investigate into a large carrier development potential.

Working time and location:
? Monday to Friday,
? 8 hours a day - 40 hours a week,
? Base in Knick China office: Room 501 – Da Tong Commercial Building, 369 Middle Fu Xing Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, PR China

Holidays:
? X days (TBC),
? China national holidays.
