KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 主要职责
1) To learn to provide patent and trade secret services, i.e.
? To identify potential inventions and to advise on their handling
? To draft, file, and prosecute patent applications
? To advise on trade secret matters
? To advise on the exploitation of patent rights
? To identify and advise on potentially hindering third party patents
? To provide patent clearance opinions and patent validity opinions
? To review anticipated publication for potentially patentable subject-matter
? To assist a more senior attorney in oppositions and conflict matters
? To help monitoring patent assets of AkzoNobel and third parties for specific activities/products
? To create IP awareness in the company and provide training, under guidance of a more senior colleague, on IP matters and to inform the business on material lP developments
? To practice preventive law by being a creative problem solver, mindful of his/her responsibility for identifying IP and commercial risks and whenever possible formulating acceptable alternatives to achieve business objectives
? To partner with line management and understand the business
? To be visible and accessible to and communicate effectively with business contacts and monitor their satisfaction
? To consult with AlP colleagues, ALA lawyers and members of other departments as appropriate
? To provide guidance to support staff as appropriate

2) Professional conduct and Procedures:
? To adhere to company business principles, directives and guidelines, and to follow AlP guidelines and procedures
? To adhere to professional ethics and codes of conduct of the Patent Bar and other relevant professional organizations, if applicable
? To retain independence and preserve the integrity of the company and its assets, and to refrain from taking business decisions
? To follow the best practices and to share knowledge and experiences with colleagues
? To report material matters to his/her supervisor - including matters potentially requiring a provision or disclosure - and to report matters that are material to the corporation as a whole to the relevant Management Team Member for reporting to the Director Intellectual Property
? To keep accessible, complete and up-to-date files and enter activities in the
? activity reporting system
? To ensure monitoring of due dates and safeguarding continuity in case of absence.
? To keep abreast of material lP developments

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 技能，知识及经验
? a technical degree at university level, preferably a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
? a broad interest in and knowledge of chemistry
? preferably, working experience in R&D for a number of years
? good analytical skills with an affinity for legal subject matter
? the desire to be involved in a three year on-the-job training program
? good communication skills
? ability to work under pressure
? teamplayer skills
? very strong Mandarin and English oral and writing skills.
