Business Development Duties :
Your major Global Business Development focus is to secure new business, clients, vendors, new businesses, increase customer base and revenue for Biometrix in Asia (China, Singapore, South Asia, Korea, Japan) by leveraging the current assets, resources and capabilities of the company in the US, Asia and around the world. You will establish relationships with new sponsors and strategic partners (Academia, Universities, Government, Hospitals, Research Institutes and Industry), outside vendors to secure additional revenue, work, projects or studies. You will set up and manage Subject Recruitment System and Database. You will explore new business opportunities to expand beyond the scope and operations of the company. Responsible for growth of innovation, business development, technology development, clinical research, consumer insight, and regulatory areas.
Develop and maintain partnerships with academic and government institutions and industries, and research sponsors.
Identify and market Biometrix to prospective clients and sponsors. Attract product manufacturers, CROs, consumer products, skin products, devices and dermatology focused companies to collaborate with Biometrix for research, development or clinical trials. Design activities, techniques and strategies to generate the new business.
Act as Company representative and serve as primary contact for Sponsors/Clients/Partners. This position will communicate with Biometrix Senior Management to discuss quotations, project management and scheduling activities.
New Technology Development :
Identify opportunities and convert them into business through technical development and implementation with Academia, Universities, Government, Hospitals, Research Institutes and Industry. Navigate through the process of identifying technologies, finding markets, sponsors, partners or marketing partners. Scout for product opportunities in new (or existing) markets, looking for potential gaps in unserved or underserved markets. Assess likelihood of success of new technologies. Work with President and Senior Management to write proposal and business plans for technologies. Quantify market size for modifications of new products/solutions. On occasion serve as technical lead for technology innovations. Collect and document technology, customer and competitor intelligence. Provide market or customer driven ideas and projects for incremental innovations. Research novel clinical evaluation methodology, primarily for dermatological, optic, oral or bioinstrumentation applications.
Act as Company representative and serve as primary contact for Sponsors/Clients/Partners. This position will communicate with Biometrix Senior Management to discuss quotations, project management and scheduling activities.
Subject Recruitment System Development :
Subject Recruitment, Subject Management, Subject Retention. Set up Subject Recruitment system. This includes staffing and training staff. Create, implement and manage the system. Find, develop and execute new resources for subjects. Identify and implement a recruitment system that includes both operations and training, technology, and staffing (Recruiting Supervisor, Marketing Supervisor (Strategic campaigns & social media), and other recruitment team members for acquiring and managing tens of thousands of multi‐ethnic populations for a diverse and frequent number of clinical research trials. Technology for recruitment - Identify cutting edge technology available and successful options available in today’s market, as well as successful recruitment strategies and tactics. Create relationships with research public and private sectors, agencies, institutions, individuals and establishments to identify and establish possible partnerships and/or acquisitions that will give Biometrix immediate access to at least a 100,000 person active database with relevant and applicable clinical trial participants. Ensure that the resources of the organization are able to produce quality services and products at the right time and cost, and that the customer expectations and requirements are met.
New Projects:
We are looking to enter other areas of business in China as well. Including, Product Development; B2C Ventures; etc.
Tasks across all three areas will occur simultaneously. Work directly with Biometrix President/CEO and US Management Team to efficiently coordinate and manage these functions in Asia. Travel required (in Asia and globally).
Qualifications :
This position require candidates to hold an advanced degree, or Bachelor’s degree with applicable experience : such as a PhD, MBA, M.B.B.S.plus MBA, M.SC or a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Engineering with adequate Business and Client Development experience. 3+ years of experience in Technology Solution Development and Innovation. Candidates with experience in the Consumer, Dermatology, Biotechnology, Technology and Medical Device, Cosmetics, Skin Care, Wellness Products, Health Care or Nutrition industries are encouraged to apply to this unique opportunity.
Must have strong leadership and excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to act quickly and pragmatically under pressure, ability to prioritize and resolve technical faults and problems. Willingness to take initiative, originate action and be responsible for consequent decisions. Ability to successfully work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Knowledge of industry technical breakthroughs and innovation. Knowledge of research methodology, financial acumen, market insights and relevant legal/regulatory parameters. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications.
