The Client Service Manager will manage NPD's relationships with clients - including in-depth analysis, presentations to senior management, and contract renewal negotiations. The Client Service Manager also understands the big picture in clients' businesses, and proactively identifies opportunities to apply NPD research to key issues.
The current main syndicate tracking service is CREST, which is an online based consumer panel, providing tracking information for the China foodservice industry.
This position will be based in Shanghai.
Overall Responsibilities:
? Build strategic relationships with client contacts to develop strategic business insights regarding the clients’ most important business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
? Ensuring overall client satisfaction with service, data application and deliverables by managing client relationships to build a reputation for excellent service and generate repeat business.
? Expanding the client base to include a broader mix of end users at accounts through the effective demonstration of how NPD data can help them accomplish their goals.
? Developing incremental business within each account, including creating sales goals and retention plans for each account and negotiating contract agreements.
? Provide recommendations to client leadership teams and product management teams, on matters such as promotional success, strategic brand management based on market research analysis.
? Manage the contract negotiation process with clients in order to achieve/exceed revenue objectives.
Qualifications:
? 5+ years of experience within client services, account management with a market research company or Marketing Insight experience within a manufacturer or retailer from the Food or Food Service industry preferred.
? Strong industry knowledge specifically in Foodservices will be an advantage although not essential.
? Demonstrated success in account planning and service experience.
? Competent analysis and writing ability - digests diverse data sets into cohesive and succinct stories both in presentations and word documents.
? Insights driven experience with consumer tracker data
? Strong project management skills
? Ability to adopt a big picture perspective, but also knows when to dig into the details
? Strong presentation skills.
? Expert in all MS Office products. (Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
? Global communication capability. Must be fluent in spoken/written English
? BA/BS or equivalent.
