Objectives and responsibilities of the position
*The regional key account manager is the sales representative for all Asian & Oceanian “markets” (key accounts: public organisations and private companies) of the shows and events he/she is responsible for. He/she will be based in Shanghai at Comexposium Shanghai offices. He/she will report to the Sales Director or the Head of Sales based in Paris.
*The regional key account manager is in charge of developing and implementing the sales strategy in line with the business plan(s) and overall marketing strategy of all the SIAL shows: Paris, Montreal and Toronto, China, Jakarta, Abu Dhabi and Manila.
*The regional key account manager is responsible for selling all the SIAL shows to his/her portfolio and then growing revenues of his/her targeting countries.

Reporting relationship: Sales Director / Sales Manager

Responsibilities
STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributing to and making recommendations on the marketing plan (for the targets) based on his/her knowledge of the market, and proposing a sales action plan for each SIAL
- Detecting growth potential, both in terms of sectors and key players; identifying trends and innovations to nourish the contents of our shows
- Implementing institutional lobbying with the key market players
- Developing the sales action plan for his/her products and identifying priorities according to the strategy established by the Sales Department and in line with the actions of this latter
- Developing sales pitches for his/her targets and participating in the development of general sales pitches in collaboration with the Marketing Department and the Sales Department

EVENT MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proposing marketing sequencing: deadlines, milestones, work cycles, key dates
- Developing his/her portfolio and maintaining a contact network for the business sector
- Implementing marketing tools suited to the various targets and products (stands, equipment, sponsoring, derivative products, etc.)
- Marketing and negotiating spaces and communications tools to/with targets
- Developing, setting up and monitoring partnerships and sponsoring in liaison with the Sales Department

MANAGEMENT :
- Management of a junior SIAL dedicated sales executive

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND REPORTS
- Monitoring budget and revenues, and producing reports for the Sales Department
- Supervising and managing outstanding items in liaison with the CRD
- Evaluating sales actions and introducing corrective actions
- Contributing to show debriefing by delivering the sales debriefing and making sales recommendations for the next session

Authority and delegation
(budget management, autonomy, reports, leading teams)
Managing his/her sales budget in an autonomous manner
Producing reports for the Sales Director / Head of Sales on a regular basis
Coordinating sales with the Sales Department

Operational links and employee’s contributions to his/her internal clients
Sales Director, Show/Sector Directors, CRD, Marketing Director, CEO of CXPM Shanghai (administrative link)
Sector representative for all the sales teams: business-sector knowledge transfer
