Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centred and compassionate nursing care according to patient's needs and condition, doctor's orders, nursing/ hospital standards and policies.

Maintains a conducive and safe patient care environment.

Involves in orientation, teaching and supervising new/ junior nursing staff working towards an effective and knowledgeable nursing team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.Nursing

·Plans, provides and evaluates nursing care according to patient's needs, doctor's orders and hospital policies.

·Upholds hospital nursing standards in documentation, treatment, patient monitoring and infection control.

·Keeps Nurse Manager/ Doctor informed on patient’s condition, treatment/ intervention and outcome.

·Takes active measures to ensure the safety of patients. Report all occurrence incidents to Ward or Nurse Manager On Call

·Works cooperatively with other Hospital Departments to provide holistic patient care.

2.Management

·Keeps Nurse Manager advised of problems impinging on the provision of quality patient care and services.

·Be familiar with Fire Safety/ Code Blue Procedures.

·Observes hospital and legal requirements regarding storage and control of drugs and medical supplies.

·Be familiar with hospital requirements regarding billing procedures.

·Participates in ward meetings and work towards being an effective team member.

3.Professional

·Regularly updates nursing knowledge and skills through attendance of In-service Courses and Clinical Updates.

·Fulfils the role of buddy as and when required.

·Upholds the professional standards/ code of conduct as prescribed by the hosopital.

·Participates in departmental in-service talks/ demonstration

4.Infection Control

·Participates as an infection control liaison officer

·To keep up with current infection control principles and policies.

·Ensures that the hospital’s infection control policies are adhered to.

·Keeps colleagues aware of current hospital infection control.

Qualifications:

·China/Shang Hai Registered Nurse

·Diploma or Degree in Health Sciences (Nursing)

·Valid BCLS & ACLS Certificates preferred

·At least 2 years of current practice as a staff Nurse in an acute hospital

·Strong medical, cardiac and surgical knowledge

·Working knowledge of hospital policies, infection control, evidence-based nursing practice and nursing research

·Effective communication, PR, interpersonal relation skills.

·Knowledge of staff recruitment, allocation, appraisal.

·Proficient in emergency action Procedures

·Self-directed, analytical and proactive.

·Effective in time management, problem solving, decision making, resource allocation/review.

·Adaptable, flexible, able to work effectively under pressure.

·IT knowledge in Words, Excel and PowerPoint

            按照国际标准（JCI）和中国标准设计建造的上海德达医院是德达医疗集团设在上海的首家以提供心血管疾病医疗服务为主的综合性医院。德达医院及德达心血管中心位于上海虹桥交通枢纽以西七公里的徐泾地区，总建筑面积五万平方米，一期设有200张床位，二期350张床位。

DeltaHealth Hospital·Shanghai is a foreign-invested general hospital designed and constructed in accordance with Joint Commission International (JCI) and Chinese standards. It is DeltaHealth’s first hospital in Shanghai. DeltaHealth Hospital Shanghai and its Heart & Vascular Center are located in the Xujing area, 7 km to the west of Shanghai’s Hongqiao transport hub. The total construction area for the project is 50,000 m , with the set-up of 200 beds during the first phase.

Opened in 2013, DeltaHealth Clinic·HongQiao is DeltaHealth’s first Shanghai outpatient clinic and is part of an inner city network of cardiovascular care clinics. Located at the heart of the Hongqiao CBD, the clinic provides comprehensive primary and specialty care, including cardiovascular disease screening, expert consulting and rehabilitation services.
