Overview:

GT Advanced Technologies seeks a motivated, highly-organized individual with great communication skills to be responsible for the Sourcing of inventory, supplies, and capital goods for GTAT globally. This person will serve as the liaison to vendors and suppliers, investigate supply sources, and issue request for quotations, proposals or bids.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

? Responsible for supplier identification, qualification and development.
? Drives continuous cost reduction to ensure business budgets are achieved through negotiation and development of alternate suppliers.
? Interface with engineering to evaluate and understand the products/drawings and communicate packages to suppliers.
? Develops supplier performance.
? Develops relationships with vendors and develop supplier performance.
? Evaluates vendor cost and quality of goods and supplies.
? Liaison between suppliers and GT Engineering.
? Processes claims against vendors and suppliers.
? Quality oversight, relaying the quality requirements of GT to a supplier and following up after an order has been placed.
? Works with GT’s Legal Team and vendors on Supply Agreements.
? Monitors the market for cost trends and communicates market trend changes as appropriate.
? Other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements:

? Bachelor’s degree in engineering or material science.
? At least 10-15 years of Sourcing experience.
? Ability to manage a strategic/technical commodity with a global supply base.
? Strong negotiation skills combined with ability to grasp material technology/critical.
? Strong knowledge of buying processes and procedures, contract law, and understanding GTAT IP.
? MS Office skills (strong Excel skills). Working knowledge of ERP/SAP required.
? Flexible to handle a wide range of responsibilities.
? General organizational skills and detail orientation, to maintain accurate purchasing and acquisition records in an optimal manner.
? Strong problem solving skills and sense of urgency to support business operations.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interface at all levels of suppliers and internal organization.
? Must be able to speak Mandarin and English.
? Available for travel including overseas, up to 25%. 举报 分享
