Job Information:
We are looking for a professional with at least 3 years of experience in the Costing Area in the automotive industry, preferably in Chassis.
Responsibilities:
In coordination with BU Chassis costing department, Sales and PM and the Divisional team, follow up of Asian market open quotations and running projects in terms of costs and profitability.
Track, analyze and assist in understanding booked cost projects, in particular when projects expenses seem to be too high and have inconsistencies.
Assist with variance analysis for projects expenses and forecasts to enable better understanding of booked vs estimated cost.
Analyze and compute cost reduction suggestions to proactively discuss with the Manager, review and note capacity concerns with increased and/ or additional business.
Work with the operations area to create and review life cycle cost estimate and associated documentation, and carry out cost benefit analysis to support affordable requirements.
Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses.
Requirements:
Experience: 3 years of work experience in Costing areas, in the automotive industry, preferably Chassis.
Education: Qualified to Degree or equivalent level in Engineering, preferably Mechanical

The China R&D center was started in 2010 .The company’s plan for china R&D center is not to create a supporting team for Europe, but to build up an independent and capable team and to have a full R&D function in China. All the employees in China R&D center have had a long term training in Europe and UK to get a full understanding of our products and knowledge of design. Till now the China R&D team has already supported or leaded many projects, like Volvo SPA chassis platform, BMW G05 link.
In order to offer our clients more technical support and to meet their needs, Gestamp decided to build a new R&D center in Shanghai international automobile city to strength its local testing and prototyping capabilities. The new R&D center will be put into service at the end of 2016, it will have a more comprehensive R&D function including: product development, concept design, material researching, testing, prototyping etc. We are aimed to give more professional, more efficient and more economical service to our clients.
