Description of position:
This position acts as an in-house specialist regarding import/ QA compliance and regulations for all food and non-food categories in China.The ideal candidate will be able to stay up-to-date to changing import regulations in China; meetings with external third parties are also required. Other tasks include supporting QA, merchandising and operations Food Safety management.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Review and monitor regulatory changes in China for both food and non-food categories, such as Chinese labels and related regulations.
* Liaise between Chinese governmental authorities and the company, concerning inquiries, challenges and requests; to raise disputes and inquiries as necessary.
* Provide insight and advice on changes in local regulations and import compliance.
* Identify, create and implement protocols to setup and import process into China.
* Conduct audits, training and setting up QA & Food Safety procedures (import requirements, food safety, labeling, QA, etc).
* Represent the company at presentations, seminars and working meetings with government agencies, trade office etc.
* Communicate with buying team, inspection service providers, and custom brokers to ensure the accurateness and preciseness of statutory requirements.
* Other tasks as the company may require.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge/Skills required:
-Basic knowledges of relevant laws regulations.
-Computer skills: Windows OS and applications: Word, Excel and Power Point skills.
-Good written and verbal communication skills (both English & Chinese).
