Position Title - Buyer / Sourcing Assistant

Position Type - Full-time, work-from-home conditionally available

Job Description - The Buyer will be responsible for researching, identifying, qualifying and managing targeted suppliers. Further, the buyer will facilitate the full spectrum of customer inquiries and consequent orders including but not limited to quoting products, negotiating prices, order following up, handling shipment, assuring quality and managing the overall supply chain

Job Responsibilities

- Utilizing any and all resources to locate and suitable Chinese suppliers
- Develop and utilize supplier qualification methodology
- Interpret and understand customer inquiry requirements
- Constant contact (e-mail, phone, in-person) with existing and prospective suppliers
- Direct communication, quoting, negotiating, order placing, sample processing, quality and delivery inspection, logistics monitoring
- Localize any required RFQ materials such as drawings, specifications, descriptions
- Perform supplier audits
- Regularly visit existing and targeted suppliers
- Set up and maintain an effective targeted and existing supplier database
- Follow and attend relevant industry tradeshows and exhibitions
- Convey/establish professional company representation
- Manage monthly expenses/budgets and respect all company policies
- Set up and follow regular reporting by e-mail as well as via regular Skype meetings
- Work non-standard hours such as evenings and weekends should a project demands it or special meetings during those times are necessary
- Other tasks as assigned on a per project basis

Candidate Requirements

- Female preferred, patient and smooth personality
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in direct procurement or strategic sourcing as an experienced buyer
- Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience
- Being familiar with fastener business / able to drive alone for business trips (Shanghai / Suzhou / Ningbo areas) will be preferred.
- Excellent project management and supplier development experience
- Great written and verbal English language proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once across various industries and several product categories
- Analytical and structured work approach, proactive working style, self-motivated, results driven, good sense of urgency
- Willing to work overtime and travel extensively if a project calls for it
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and PPT 举报 分享
