Position Summary:
An experienced e-commerce professional to plan, develop and execute the overall e-Commerce business strategy; lead and drive the day-to-day business activities in order to achieve online revenue, profit and other key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in e-commerce, business, digital marketing, IT or related fields;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.Knowledge and Skills:
- An ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial, collaborative environment;
- Minimum 5 years working experience with preferably in consumer goods, retail or merchandising business;
- Strong analytical skills including demonstrated ability in website analysis, analysis of raw data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Ability to collaborate with external and internal parties;
- Strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, self-motivated;
- Good knowledge of accounting;
- Familiarities with web technologies and software a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Marketing
- Closely work with marketing team internally to develop, execute and manage marketing programs including promotions, SEO/SEM, email blasts, printed collaterals and etc.;
- Establish entrepreneurial goals for the company’s business in China, ensuring the e-commerce platforms achieve marketing objectives and adheres to quality standards regarding appearance and content that would increase sales while delivering a superior customer experience;
- Provide analysis and insight to manage the success of marketing programs and improve efficiency;
- Monitor trends in e-commerce, social media as well as mobile marketing in China and share with related departments;
- Manage all Chinese language contents for e-communication such as newsletters and social media postings.
- Website/IT Development
- Support and actively participate in the development of b2c e-commerce websites and marketplace stores;
- Work with web/e-commerce project managers & specialists to assess any technical challenges in executing the functions and contents on e-commerce websites;
- Write, edit and proof read new contents (short articles, product description copy, manuals and scripts), ensuring that all contents meet established standards;
- Review the websites regularly to ensure good user experience.
- Procurement
- Design product assortments and develop new products;
- Disseminate research regarding market conditions and costs of products and services to identify potential cost savings;
- Communicate with and compare vendors in order to determine product quality, services level and terms of sales;
- Review purchase orders and contracts for products and services;
- Identify and encourage resources sharing among offices in order to reduce duplicated purchase or leverage bulk purchase to reduce cost;
- Optimize inventory turn and obsolescence;
- Monitor 3PL warehouse operations, including storage management, order fulfillment process, return and exchange, and inventory reporting.
- Customer Service
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities of CSRs in providing customer services via phone, live chat and email;
- Review performance of CSRs, determine training needs and schedule training sessions;
- Handle escalated customer complaints;
- Complete refund to customer;
- Act as a front-line CSR when needed;
- Finance
- Check invoices for accuracy, and authorizes accountant to issue payment;
- Assist on all aspects of financial operation in Shanghai Office;
- Maintain the general accounting systems including upkeep of the general ledger, consolidation of financial reports, and submission of accurate and timely data for financial reporting purpose. The financial reports include accounting management reports and brand P&Ls for internal use; audit reports and tax filing for external purpose.
- Assist to coordinate with government agents, auditors, and / or any related professionals, commissioners to interpret the principles of government rules and regulations and to ensure the accounting procedures, practices and policies are in compliance with local regulations;
- Study and evaluate accounting operations and participate in system design with concerned departments and IT staff;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with 3rd party accounting firm to do the job in accordance with company accounting standard.
- HR
- Motivate, coach and retain staff;
- Recruit new staff;
- Work with 3rd party HR agency to manage pay roll;
