Reports to: Prof. Tim Byrnes


Position Summary
An experimental postdoctoral position is open to work with the group of Prof. Tim Byrnes at New York University Shanghai. The research group is focused on quantum information and its applications to new technologies. The ideal candidate will have some experience with experimental cold atom physics techniques relating to Bose-Einstein condensation. The position is for two years position with possibilities for extension, and is available for start immediately. For details on research activities see http://nyu.timbyrnes.net . Responsibilities
Responsibilities include assisting with experimental research activities relating to Atomic Molecular Optics and quantum information. The laboratory will be located within East China Normal University as part of the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy and will work with atom chip technology.


Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ph.D. in physics or a related field, or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Chinese an advantage
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Strong motivation to perform research
