1. Day to day customer interface and query management Demand planning management to meet customer requirement; Ensure product availability throughout the supply chain to support customer service level agreement (SLA) within the predefined customer models; Lead new product material planning and purchasing activities.
2. Ensure demand and supply are effectively carried out utilizing the in-house MRP system, Follow up Purchase Requisition, Purchasing order to ensure supply on time without excess;
3. Clearly demonstrate stock integrity and visibility throughout the planning processes and supply chain;
4. ECN management to meet customer request and company goals.
5. Manage supplier base in accordance to criteria specified under Moduslink Supplier Guide
6. Maintain supply information and good relationship with supplier, Provide guidance to buyer/planner to ensure the company’s requirements are understood, manage supplier performance and input supplier scorecard performance in fixed period.
7. Handling vendor receiving and quality issues, through the vendor management process ensure that the supply chain is continuously improved through the proactive involvement in a continuous improvement process.
8. Develop relevant client and industry knowledge in relation to demand drivers, lifecycle, product roadmap and technology developments. Analyze Demand trends and communicate with client.
9. Promote knowledge exchange between ModusLink locations and clients by regular communications and central knowledge management.
10. Develop a strong customer focus, both internal and external, throughout the supply chain processes and within the department; closely work with cross function team to meet the company business goal.
11. Develop, maintain and continuously enhance departmental SOX controls/compliance agenda and ensure your Company Standards of Performance (SOP's) are relevant to the processes and compliant with corporate requirements.
12. Development and implement procedures, systems and technologies in the Supply Chain in order to standardize and optimize key activities.
13. Demonstrate commitment and adherence to process and provide leadership through example.
14. Provide regular management and customer updates, reports and briefings ensuring that the status and effectiveness of the department is visible and measurable at all times. Ensure regular forum exists reviewing dept. effectiveness, KPI’s and process improvement
15. Develop departmental strategic goals and objectives, translate these strategies into individual team objectives, mentor and monitor the team in the delivery of the strategy
