Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, passionate and experienced Technical Lead – Java or PHP to join our IT Team. As a start the technical lead will guide a team of 2~3 programmers based in ChengDu. The technical lead will assist the development of e-commerce systems and applications. This role will be responsible for the technical direction of the solution and also the project management. The technical lead will provide mentorship and guidance to technical team members. At the same time, we expect the ChengDu developer team will expand to 20~30 staffs in the coming years.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction and mentorship to technical team members;
Undertake a leading role in the development of e-commerce system and applications;
Define architecture, responsible for reviewing code and ensuring the quality of code;
Responsible for the project management including resource management, task delegation and progress checking;
Assist the release management processes together with infrastructure team;
Manage the regular troubleshooting and issue resolution;
Responsible for writing & reviewing technical documentation;
Undertake hands-on development work as expected;

The candidate will have the following competencies:

5+ years of experience designing and developing web applications using various technologies and languages
3+ years experience in leading development team
Solid knowledge of PHP, Java technology including but not limited to ZendFramework (or other PHP framework), EJB, JSP, Servlets, JMS, Web Services.
Be familiar with the popular web development/open source frameworks and tools, such as SSH, JQuery and Mule
Has good skill and experience on software system design, system deployment, performance optimization and etc, can write very high quality code.
Experience with e-Commerce products and CMS products will be a plus.
A strong verbal and written communication skill in English is a must.
