Title: Merchandiser

Job Summary

Wilton Brands is a craft and celebration leader, where great people deliver innovative products and exceptional customer service. This position reports to the Manager of Sourcing and Supplier Management.

This position will play a role as a facilitator for the sourcing manager, inventory control, and product development with suppliers to help achieve the company’s overall sourcing business plan. Under the direction of the Manager of Sourcing and Supplier Management, this position will issue RFQ’s and help coordinate communication, activities and events with suppliers, Sourcing management and Product Development.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

? Coordinate and facilitate the issue of RFQ’s and participate in price and MOQ negotiation where required and appropriate
? Provide input to Sourcing team with respect to supplier performance and new supplier prospecting and selection
? Ensure all suppliers quotations and samples are completed in time to meet the required schedule.
? Ensure suppliers have correct information with respect to product specifications and coordinate any issues with respective internal and external groups.
? Coordinate with the Logistics and Inventory teams to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply
? Participate in the coordination of samples, production schedules, quality or compliance audits, logistics or similar activities and support problem solving in these areas as issues arise.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

? Knowledge of suppliers and factories and able to discern performance differences among suppliers across multiple considerations (cost, quality, delivery, compliance).
? Experience in trim, apparel, wedding, party / celebration purchasing role or product development role will be an advantage
? Excellent communication and negotiation skills
? Strong prioritization and problem solving skills
? Work independently, make recommendations and escalate issues where appropriate

Education and/or experience

? Effective written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin
? A Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain or other related field.
? A minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience working with manufacturers
? Must be computer savvy with extensive MS Office experience.
? Willing to take challenges, hardworking, self-motivated and dependable
? Capability to handle multiple tasks
? Able to travel within the geographical area and sometimes throughout China 举报 分享
