OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
Steering Production Manager is responsible for the plant operation of steering production, to ensure continuous and efficient production at a desired level of quantity, quality and cost. The position will be responsible for establishing schedules for effective and efficient use of manpower, materials and equipment, setting standards, cost efficiency, people development, staffing. Manages and trains production staff.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain a safe manufacturing workplace. Lead BBS (behavior-based safety) and promptly report the near-miss accidents with effective action plans.
Sets, maintains and manages high standards of manufacturing. Effectively control product quality, people training, line discipline, labor efficiency, overtime rate, turnover rate, PPH, ECI, schedule attainment, PPE usage, PMA/CMPA implementation and CIS projects .
Reviews reports on manufacturing activities, performance and results and initiates corrective actions relating to delayed schedules, excessive costs, material shortages, sorting, reworking, major breakdown, and other deterrent factors.
Evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, layouts, equipment and techniques with lean concept and lean tool application.
Develop staff competency and enhance skill level of operators. Establish effective evaluation system for different level of people.
Coordinates with other function managers in planning and implementing manufacturing programs for steering operations.
Effectively control headcount of DL based on customer volume. Work with other functions (logistics, ME, HR) to well plan the capacity, HC, and OT.

Demonstrated experience in motivating, mentoring employees and meeting business objectives
Demonstrated problem solving skills i.e., 8D, 5-why etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capable of being certified on lean manufacturing principles
Able to operate PC based software programs and operate automated business systems
Strong manufacturing and business knowledge
Good time management and organizational skills
Excellent English(Oral & written)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational: Bachelor Degree of mechanical/machinery/engineering/operation management, or higher in related fields.
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience with minimum 1 year as a senior manager in the field of operation management in manufacturing environment. 举报 分享
