Position:Tooling Engineer

Report to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Knowledge and Skills:

• knowledge of all ranges of cutting tools, methods and techniques used cutting cast iron
• knowledge of HMC machining
• Basic knowledge with CNC program and tool using in machine tool.
• Knowledge of tool store and management.
• College gradated, CET-4 is a must.
• Be good at English, include read, written, listening and spoken.
• Skill in in Auto CAD, MS office.
• Can understand product drawings and technical documentations of English easily.

Experience:

• Bachelor degree majored in Mechanical Design or Mechanical relevant
• 5 years experience of working within a manufacturing site as a tooling engineer, or machining engineer, etc.
• Experience with the process of tooling procurement.
• Experience with tooling efficiency improvement.
• Experience with trouble shooting for tooling.
• Experience with LEAN activities is preferred.
• Experience with new tooling design and manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Introduction of new tooling into production, ensuring reducing costs; lead times for tools, reducing cycle times and scrap levels.
• Minimising tool maintenance and breakdowns.
• Carry out tool design reviews.
• Carry out pre-delivery checks.
• Control and progress the installation of new tooling/equipment, liaising with suppliers, and deliver training to machinists.
