Senior Electrical/Control Systems Service Technician

What would you be doing?

• Provide high level electrical/control systems support to our client through:

§ Responding to urgent requests for assistance to line operators

§ Diagnosis and resolution of equipment faults, co-ordinating external assistance where required

· Managing preventative maintenance programmes through:

§ Carrying out preventative maintenance ensuring minimal down time

§ Providing training to production staff for carrying out regular maintenance

§ Carrying out major inspections and correcting issues

· Contributes to an environment of continuous improvement by providing information to head office and carrying out minor modifications as required

What does it take to be a Senior Electrical/Control Systems Technician?

• You should be a fully qualified electrical/control systems tradesperson with an in depth knowledge of production machinery.
• You will have at least 5 years experience in a similar level position.
• Thorough knowledge of control systems and processes such as servo motion control, hydraulics, PLC/HMI programming along the ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings is required.
• A mechanical qualification will also be an advantage, however you should have good knowledge of this aspect of production machinery.
• The position is based on our client sites and therefore strong communication, well developed problem solving and organisation skills will be put to good use.
• You must have strong English speaking and writing skills.
