Job Responsibilities:

This Positions is to assist Head of DB China Legal to support the 15 Diversified Business Group Companies ("DBGC") in China as a key member of the Department. 

1. Strategic Business Partner

• Support Head of DB China Legal to provide general legal oversight over the DBGC, identifying and managing the most significant legal & compliance matters;
• Attend management meetings of DBGC;
• Travel for regular DBGC visits, regional meetings and as needed to provide legal and compliance services.

2. Routine Legal support

• Contract and other legal documents review/draft for DBGC;
• Legal research and legal advice for DBGC;
• Support DBGC’s ongoing Arbitration and Litigation;
• Outside Counsel (Law firms) management.

3. Compliance

• Support Head of DB China Legal and work with BSCAP Legal and Compliance team to implement and continuously train the supported DBGC on the Bridgestone Global Ethics & Compliance Programs and Initiatives.

4. Projects

• Assist Head of DB China Legal in DBGC projects from the legal perspective.

5. Team support

• Routine administrative procedures in connection with the responsibilities specified above.

Job Requirement:

1. Bachelor’s (or above) Degree of Law; or Preferably Master’s Degree of Law with Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese (or Japanese as a second foreign language);

2. At least 4 years of relevant working experience.

3. Law: Certificate for Law Practice in China (preferable);

4. Languages: English (proficient) and preferably with knowledge in Japanese language.
