1. Purpose of the Job:

Purpose to better support Edwards Qingdao plant IT related local and global projects. Troubleshooting office colleagues’ laptop hardware and software problems, and other computer peripherals like printers, scanners, projector, TV and network connections. And also support shop floor IT related items like SAP hardware, computers and printers for machining cells, Assembly and warehouse.

2. Dimensions:

Responsible for the following systems and services within Edwards China, Atlas Copco Group.

§ Act as a team member of service desk of VTBA, Support the tickets which are assigned to local IT, documenting all tickets in the central ticketing system.

§ Deploy, support and maintain IT client infrastructure (e.g., desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, projectors, TVs, conference devices).

§ Support local and global applications operated on client infrastructure.

§ Perform and document LAN cabling for network.

§ Support our manufacturing systems from the IT point of view, including peripherals.

§ Support the SAP related system clients and hardware (e.g., Zebra printers, RF scanners, HP SAP order printers).

Be part of project teams and support them to realize projects for users in China.

§ New Service desk project.

§ Future central projects to improve client environment Atlas Copco.

§ Windows Server upgrade

§ Cisco devices replacement.

§ Local applications deployment (AMS, Visitor system, HR attendance system, Maintenance system)

3. Maintains consistent interfaces with:

§ End users at China sites.

§ Edwards IM Staff.

§ Edwards Global IM Service Desk.

§ Local Business Management.

§ External service providers.

§ Hardware and Software vendors.

§ Atlas Copco IM Staff.

§ Atlas Copco Service Desk

4. Specialized knowledge, expertise, and/or abilities consistently required:

§ Skilled on Windows server system English, Windows 10 English, Office 365 English and other applications.

§ Onsite support for personal Computer hardware and software.

§ Cisco network (Lan and Wi-Fi) – basic knowledge of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.

§ Assist LAN cabling and patch management.

§ Support remote working colleagues, remote connectivity administration and support.

§ Desktop client security – anti-virus and OS patch management.

§ SAP system peripherals support (specialist on printers ZT230 and scanners RF MC9190/9200).

§ Experienced on veritas backup software and HP backup drive.

§ Excellent communication skills – written and verbal (English).

5. Primary responsibilities:

§ Responsible for end-user assistance of hardware, software, operating system, and other peripherals.

§ Encrypt notebooks with BitLocker.

§ Deploy and support Microsoft MFA for local users.

§ Deploy applications using the Microsoft SCCM server.

§ Support users in the user of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Microsoft teams

§ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve PC related failures and initiate corrective action as necessary.

§ Responding to and solving complex technical problems escalated from the global IM ServiceDesk.

§ Participate the development, implementation, adherence, and enforcement of corporate PC hardware and Software standards and associated PC policy.

§ Develop and maintain Edwards’s environment documentation and solutions/knowledge database.

§ Coordinate as required third party support.

§ Perform routine server backup tape handling and management duties.

§ Perform base server activities following VTBA standard operation procedures.

§ Travel to other Edwards offices both locally and remote, often at short notice to provide technical support, installation services, or general proactive maintenance/research tasks as required.

§ Participate in IT projects as required.

§ May at times be expected to work beyond or outside, hours of duty to recover systems from major failure, or to perform upgrades, often at short notice.

6. IT Security and compliance:

§ Ensure the client environment is operated securely by following VTBA security policies.

§ Ensure that all users are following the agreed “Use Policy”.

Inform IT security officer and Head of IT if any
security breaches.
