Your key responsibilities will be:
- Provide a holistic business plan with brand understanding and how this concept can be applied to the eCommerce world (JingDong and VIP.com) to come to live.
- Working with both internal and external stakeholders on key reviews and recommendations to the client on paid media operation.
- Ability to build hypothesis and create presentation slides to articulate that information for different audience.
- Work closely with your executive(s) and supervise the quality of eCommerce implementation and execution of your team member.
- Mentor bright young talents who are interested to know more about the eCommerce environment and know-how.
- Engage with both L’Oréal EKA operation team (primary) and e-Marketing team (secondary) and build good rapport and relationship based on trust.
- Work closely with eCommerce strategy team and Strategic Planning team that work on CPD team to propose new insights for brand and align eCommerce plan with broader brand direction.

Reporting of the role:
This role reports to the Director of CPD eCommerce team who leads the work across L’Oréal CPD division.
What’s so special about this job and role?
- eCommerce is the fastest growing channel in the recent two years for L’Oréal CPD, from both business needs and consumer trend, and it is now taking up one of the larger shares of L’Oréal CPD media spends.
- Have the opportunity to collaborate with strategic planning team on integrating eCommerce as part of the full integrated campaign planning and have the chance to be part of the wider discussion with L’Oréal CPD brand team along with client’s eCommerce team and brand direction.
- Mindshare Team L’Oréal is predominantly a dynamic, enthusiastic and proactive team consists of more than 170 staffs cutting across different skillsets from Strategic Planning and Tactical Planning to specialized teams like eCommerce, Search, Insights, Data and Analytic, which can provide you an open environment to learn within the eCommerce team as well as cross-learn with wider team across function.

Job success criteria:
Within the first 3 months:
- To be able to dive straight into the managed eCommerce stores and roll up the sleeves to operate the paid media together with junior(s) to get the operation up and running smoothly.
- To have engaged with L’Oréal EKA Operation and e-Marketing team and familiarised with the ways of working with them on the day-to-day store operation related matters.
- To develop and execute monthly business plan working closely with internal (planners) and external stakeholders (clients) to deliver the set KPI under the supervision of Director.
- To supervise the accuracy of daily/weekly/monthly reporting from junior(s) and put forth analysis with learning.
Within the first 6 months:
- To lead the paid media operation of the managed stores independently along with team member(s) from business plan to operation and reporting and analysis with learning, with very minimal supervision from Director.
- To have successfully built ways of working and solid working relationship with EKA Operation team where you are the key contact window for them.
- To support Director in quarterly eCommerce media business review by putting together Powerpoint deck on media performance along with strong insights and learnings for future planning.
Within the first 12 months:
- To provide valuable insights from inwards historical brand performance and outward category and platform landscape for annual planning together with eCommerce Strategy and Strategic Planning team.
- To have established a strong business partnership with client and achieve strong client referral rating in our once in four months client-agency relationship survey.
What you will need:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in eCommerce paid media operation. Knowledge in at least one of the eCommerce platforms (JingDong or VIP.com) is preferred.
- A high degree of comfort with numbers. Your insights will have to be based on a deep understanding of data.
- You are excited by new media and new technology and how it can be brought to life in delivering insightful ideas that will move the client’s business.
- Good communication skills, ideally in both English and Chinese.
- Able to demonstrate your concept via storytelling skills.
- Skilled in Excel and Powerpoint with the ability to work independently to process data.
