Main Responsibilities:
Manages all legal matters (e.g., taxes, insurance, patents, acquisitions, property, legislation, etc.) in support of China business units with the support of Regional Senior Legal Counsel APAC.
- Supports legal action in disputes, defends the organization on key issues and implements litigation strategy in coordination
with external counsel.
- Coordinates outside counsel efficiently with an eye to keep costs low.
- Provides legal counsel and guidance in the ordinary day to day and special activities of the organization.
- Responsible for coordinating all legal efforts and negotiating on behalf of the organization.
- Advises top management on all judicial matters, regulatory and legislative changes.
- Prepares legal reports in compliance with Group requirements and develops contract templates for use by the business units.
- Ensures the implementation and adaptation of contracts and Group corporate policies.
- Provides training to business clients on policies, templates, changes in the law, risk management.
Requirement:
- Native Mandarin speaker who can write and read Chinese and English at a professional level.
- 4-6 years of relevant legal experience at a reputable law firm, international law firm or multinational company in house legal
department.
- Hold an Legum Baccalaureus or Legum Magister from a leading university in China .
- Solid track record in corporate commercial experience.
- China practical legal experience highly preferred.
- Strong drafting abilities in Chinese and English.
- Have fluent English skills
- Position situated in Shenzhen but regular travel is required
