1.0 Purpose of Job
Purpose of Job
To transfer purchased machined parts for products being manufactured in Edwards Qingdao facility. To identify and develop new suppliers in line with the global machining commodity strategy. Ensure performance targets are met for quality, cost, delivery and corporate sustainability.

2.0 Job description
Manage supplier selection and development to the SESPA process
Manage component tendering and award processes using global e-procurement tool
Co-ordination of sourcing teams and suppliers to ensure project activities and milestones are achieved.
Project Management and status control at part number level
Stakeholder communication (internal and external).
Resolving supplier technical queries relating to Edwards component specification.
Trouble shooting and advising on new supplier manufacturing & inspection processes to achieve sample approval.
Management of incumbent suppliers; relationship, business impact & expectations.
Stock management during transition.
Ensuring smooth changeover between suppliers and no impact to production.
Developing new and existing suppliers to required performance levels for quality, cost, delivery and corporate sustainability.

3.0 Knowledge Skills & Experience Required
Could operate SAP proficiently in terms of sourcing/buyer.
Technology background and be familiar with compressor or vacuum product area were better.
Could communicate in English.
Located in QD with stability.
University degree engineering discipline
Mechanical engineering background.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining tolerances.
Awareness of CNC machine tools, capabilities and processes (turning, milling, grinding etc).
Shopfloor quality and process control (inspection techniques, process capability, SPC etc).
Project management.
Communication skills, both written and verbal at senior levels to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise multiple activities
Ability to identify potential risks to project timelines and develop actions to mitigate.
Commercial experience in an engineering environment (costing techniques, supplier negotiation). 举报 分享
