Job Role: Product Marketing Manager
Reports to: Sales Director
Purpose:
To manage and coordinate market led global activities for a product or group of products with the objective of increasing its net margin, coordinate resolution of manufacturing-related issues affecting customer satisfaction and to provide sales and market data on the product(s) to assist senior management with its decision- making.
Key Responsibilities:
? To develop a business plan for different product groups that complements the sales strategy for them.
? To set up and lead business teams around product ownership which are aligned to the sales strategy.
? Involvement from inception through the development stages of a product to provide the commercial perspective and help to ensure that the product concept is accurately being interpreted in its design and that it is commercially viable through to developing a sales and marketing plan for the product
? Act as the coordinator for the products with other locations within the Group to ensure that these products meet the sales forecasts/ orders on time and in line with the requirements of customers.
? To develop sales projections and contribution from a product or product group.
? Coordinate market led sales and product development through the supply chain and manage pricing to maximize the contribution of any given product group.
? Coordinate budget forecasts for products and interrogate the information, to ensure that it is realistic and that agreed orders and demands are being satisfied.
? Design the communications and marketing strategy for a product which customer can see how it will improve their business performance and profitability and they recognize the benefits of the product offering over that of the competition. ? Develop and maintain business links and network with a variety of stakeholders within the Devro Group and with the wider network business community of distributors and customers.
Summary
This position requires knowledge of B2B products, the ability to operate across different parts of the Devro Group and align the activities of each to a common goal on product groups. Effectively resolve customer manufacturing related quality issues. There would be a considerable amount of travel required to foster and build links across the business.
