Position(s) Purpose and Job Responsibilities:

Product Development Unit WCDMA & Multi Standard RAN is responsible for development, release and maintenance of WCDMA Networks. The PDU are also responsible for Multi-standard RAN for Radio Networks. Ericsson Nanjing are a major partner within this unit working in all areas of development especially RBS development and Continuous Integration development.

Agile development is our chosen way of working. The foundation is our cross functional and ability teams, consisting of seven or eight SW Developers, responsible for feature development including requirements, design and test who can work with in any of the products or programs we work within. Our vision is to build highly empowered and self-organized teams applying Scrum or Kanban methodology.

We are now recruiting software engineers to start work with Product Development (PD) area. We PD teams are working in RBS Capacity & Configuration, Service & Mobility and Mobile Broad Band areas, etc. They are fully aligned with market requirements areas. From product perspective, we develop RBS and RNC features and maintain the products. All SW components of RBS and RNC are in development scope.

Engineers in PD areas develop WCDMA RNC and RBS features in Agile way. Cross-function team takes end-to-end feature development responsibility, including requirements breakdown, system design, SW design, Node and RAN level testing, etc. The team should guarantee the developed feature to be successfully released to customer site. In addition, PD teams maintain released product by fixing reported problems.

Due the wide scope of PD we would like to develop teams and engineers wide competences.

· To be able analyze system requirements and solution and break them down to requirements.

· A knowledge of Software architecting techniques.

· Experience with Radio based telecoms and the 3GPP protocols.

· Component based product development.

· Object Oriented design.

· Experience working with and maintaining the Rationale set of development tools

· Developing in one or many languages such as C, C++, JAVA, ERLANG, Python, PERL

· Test case and strategy development.

· Test automation tools and techniques

· Experience of Software Configuration Management and the associated tools such as Clear Case and GIT.

· Able to Debug node/system issues

· Familiar with Unix and / or Linux environments.

Minimum Requirement for both focus:

· Bachelor Degree in Telecoms or Computing or Network design or ICT or Software development (including mathematics)

· Wide technical competence cross system design, SW design and testing is preferred.

· Project experience in telecommunication product development is preferred.

· Familiar with the Agile process is preferred.

Needed Soft Skills for both focus:

· Good communication skills and verbal/written English skills

· Good teamwork spirit with ability to work independently and self-driven
