General Responsibilities:

? Develop, implement and sustain manufacturing processes
? Continuously work on process, quality & productivity improvements, cycle time reduction using methodological engineering approaches such as computer simulation, design of experiments, etc.
? Design, develop and improve work stations, jigs, fixtures, etc.
? Prepare specifications for new processes and equipment, procurement of equipment, etc
? Work with development engineering group to implement product changes through modification existing processes or implementation of new manufacturing processes and ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
? Implement and sustain statistical process control.
? Perform process capability studies.
? Work towards achieving the maximum availability of equipment in the assigned area, OEE improvement etc.
? Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
? Serve as a technical resource for cross functional teams including maintenance, quality, development engineering, etc to achieve productivity and quality goals.
? Setup work instructions, process control methods and document the same.
? Support ISO implementation and certification.
? Generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
? Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
? Support new equipments, new tools pre-acceptance and installation, do the final acceptance.


Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Manufacturing and office environment. Job involves spending a part of every day on the manufacturing shop floor.


Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college, material forming and process control is prefer.


Knowledge:
Metal forming and metal tool design, manufacturing methods, statistical process control, project management, maintainability and reliability, FMEA, hydraulics & pneumatics, industrial controls, ISO, 5S, etc

Experience:
Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing environment.

Machines, Tools Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software:
General office applications, AutoCAD, etc
