Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop Powertrain NVH attributes.

• Own and execute NVH attribute benchmarking plan and work with VI team to obtain bench mark vehicles

• Conduct subjective and objective NVH benchmark to support future programs for China market with an official report

• Conduct PT NVH Health Chart check with D&R to ensure the future programs meet the attribute requirement and provide technical direction to D&R team for attribute

• Launch and localization support

• Support FAP core NVH team to conduct NVH DV test at VP phase for future program as required

• Support pre-production builds at the plant to ensure quality product launch. This involves travelling to our plants and test facilities around the country as required

• Work as a window to connect FAP core engineers and JV to deliver a good communication efficiently

• Support current model quality improvement

• Work tightly with FAP core VFG leader to support current model quality improvement activities for powertrain NVH issues.

• Attend all key VFG meetings as required

• Develop problem solving skills to effectively address issues during program execution and customer issues after Job #1.

• Apply quality & reliability tools and methods for issue solution.

• Support the identification and avoidance of failure modes in the Chinese market for forward and current models.

Preferred Previous experiences/competencies:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline (ie Acoustics/Mech Eng)
• Good English communication skill
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong learning capability
• Experience in a Noise, Vibration & Harshness development environment with experience in vehicle related noise attenuation.
• Familiarity with lab based and in vehicle data acquisition-eg LMS, ArtemiS and so on.
• Proven instrumentation experience

• Knowledge of Acoustics, Transfer path analysis, Modal analysis and NVH theory.

• Understanding of automotive design and manufacturing processes.

• Driver's License and driving experience preferred.

• Good logic to fix issues
