Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise Processes, procure, install and provide technical support for press equipment for the ten Stamping Plants (Integral & Stand Alone) in Asia Pacific Region.

• Provide fixed investment expenditures to support new model, capacity, modernization, emergency, Stamping Business Plan, & PMI actions.

• Provide technical and investment analysis for project approvals.

• Provide equipment competitive analysis (Benchmarking).

• Develop and maintain equipment description guides and inventories by plant.

• Assist in the control of pressroom equipment inventory, disposition and storage through the PAL and FAME systems.

• Support technology forums and other divisional initiatives.

• Assist plants when requested with technical expertise.

• Lead in new/upgraded equipment implementation and planning.

• Provide/procure equipment simulations.

• Attend study kick-off meetings and various internal and external program reviews.

• Interface with all groups in a cooperative effort to implement and control programs to meet timing & cost objectives.

• Review and approve Productivity output prior to submittal to other organizations.

• Establish training and career development plans for all employees.

• Establish and monitor quality records for continuous improvement in equipment quality performance, cost and timing.

• Develop and implement strategies to support the Stamping Business Plan.

• Initiate OEM/supplier facility and process evaluations (Q-1, QS/TE-9000, R&M) as preferred supplier status for pressroom for Vehicle Operations in conjunction with FM & SP purchasing activities.

• Control sections overtime, travel and other related expense budgets

• Carry out Press Lines performance reviews, planning and meeting headcount per department budget

Preferred previous experiences / competencies

• Bachelor degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• 4-6 years of Experience
• Exposure to stamping facilities Engineering activities including the purchase, installation and running these systems.
• Prior experience stamping production.
