CSR Auditor is in charge to conduct assigned audits in accordance with contracted client agreements and submit required reports in a timely manner

Reports to: Operation Director

Responsibilities:

• Audit supplier management systems for compliance with established standards, client, and/or industry requirements, government regulations, other relevant standards, and regulatory requirements for the audit requester and to the relevant industry.
• Manage all phases of assessments/audits and recommendation for registration.
• Plan and schedule assessments/audits and coordinate with team member(s).
• Represent the assessment team and the company as Lead Auditor or team member.
• Total evaluation of supplier sites and report findings.
• Review the social, environmental, quality, and security documentation, assess the system, conduct audits to evaluate the supplier’s management system before or after Certification, and recommend whether the supplier’s management system meets the appropriate program and customer requirements.
• Hold opening and closing meetings and provide progress updates to suppliers on the conduct of initial assessments, surveillance assessments, follow-up assessments, and results of team findings.
• Evaluate employment conditions through confidential employee interviews.
• Produce reports to be submitted to the client and/or Certification Authority Department on each audit, documenting all non-compliances.
• Conduct assigned audits in accordance with contracted client agreements and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Support management in areas of continuous improvement.
• Provide management with updates on status of work, initiatives, and projects as required.
• Travel will include overnight/multiple days, to various worksites and client locations.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of auditing management systems in the relevant industry sector, demonstrated through a combination of education and experience:
• Relevant formal education equivalent to a 4-year college/university degree.
• A minimum of 2+ years of full-time work experience in a relevant industry.
• Completed Lead Auditor training on SA 8000 or BSCI or SMETA or WRAP or ICS or any other CSR standard;

Minimum Previous Experience:

· Minimum 3+ years of conducting CSR audits

• Minimum 10 CSR audits conducted in the past year as lead auditor

• Knowledge of ISO 19011 、ISO14000 SA8000 is a must;
• Basic knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is preferred;
• Knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and other requirements regarding labor, health and safety and human rights;
  Other Skills:
• Understand the types of risks and opportunities associated with auditing and the principles of the risk-based approach to auditing;
• Plan and organize the work effectively;
• Perform the audit within the agreed time schedule - ability to exercise effective time management skills in completion of assignments;
• Prioritize and focus on matters of significance;
• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing (either personally, or using Interpreters);
• Fluency in spoken and written English and local language where the audit will be conducted. In case where it is impossible to have a local auditor, a certified translator is hired. Bilingual is preferred.
• Collect information through effective interviewing, listening, observing and reviewing documented information, including records and data;
• Understand the appropriateness and consequences of using sampling techniques for auditing;
• Understand and consider technical experts’ opinions;
• Audit a process from start to finish, including the interrelations with other processes and different functions, where appropriate;
• Verify the relevance and accuracy of collected information;
• Confirm the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support audit findings and conclusions;
• Assess those factors that may affect the reliability of the audit findings and conclusions;
• Document audit activities and audit findings, and prepare reports;
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of information;
• Excellent computer and writing skills;
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively. Primarily domestic travel, but international travel may be needed (requires passport).
