Main Job Responsibilities:

1.     Communicate effectively between China vendors and US account managers during development of consumer products.

2.     Troubleshoot all aspects of product development and production for custom products.

3.     Responsible for keeping project managers informed of all aspects of their project by managing expectations and clear communication.

4.     Daily communication with Divisional Manager on all aspects related to development and production of projects.

5.     Manage timelines and meet all deadlines for quotes and orders.

6.     Negotiate costs and company policies with vendors.

7.     Follow all internal processes for quotes and orders.

 

Requirements for the Job:

1.     Education: Degree in International trade or English is preferred.

2.     Must be a team player and comfortable using both Chinese and English in daily work, both written and spoken. 

3.     Experience in Global Sourcing of promotional and gift items in some of the following categories is preferred:

a)      Hardgoods (glassware, ceramics, metal goods, plastic goods, toys, electronic products, drinkware, etc.)

b)      Softgoods (cut and sew items such as backpacks, reusable shopping bags, food delivery bags, plush, wearables, etc)

4.     Should have deep understanding of the order process from new product development to production to shipment. 

5.     Must be able to handle multiple projects under pressure across several different product categories.

6.     Possess excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to troubleshoot difficult projects.

7.     Must be willing to source new factories within China and worldwide. 

8.     Working with factories within China and outside of China (must communicate in English) is required. 

9.     Must be able to travel within China and internationally to visit suppliers.

10.  As some projects require more time at the factory than others, the candidate should be willing to work OT and station in the factory for a few major projects per year if needed.

11.  Have strong analytical mind and negotiation skills

12.  Have solid written and verbal communication skills.

13.  Works well in a team environment and ready and willing to help the team in any capacity needed.
