Responsibility:

As manager leading mechanical design department for developing compounding & extrusion machinery for the plastics, chemicals and food industries.

• Leading mechanical design department working for daily production, i.e. drawings, BOM, documents and so on.
• Improve mechanical design team structure in accordance with entire organization strategy, e.g. skill and experience matrix of designers. Including planning, hiring and training new staff, evaluating staff performance and resolving staff performance problem
• Improve technical competence of mechanical design department by planning and implementing proper design tools, e.g. implementing 3D solidworks.
• Improve technical competence of mechanical design department by design standardization, improving technical data quality, managing and transferring technical data efficiently.
• Technical support for sales, manufacturing, assembly and procurement department during production and launch of new products
• Cooperate with headquarters for upgrading of existing products and developing new products, e.g. researching the market demands, planning for internal resources, and working together with technical departments based on Germany.
• Planning and implement efficient reporting system.
• Besides the managerial work, as daily work this position is still requested to do some mechanical design for key projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering field
• 8 years or above of mechanical design experience in machinery field. Work experience in plastic machinery industry will be a plus
• Experience and operating skills of 3D Solidworks is a must.
• Experience with standardization of machine and unification of materials. Strong sense of importance of standardization and unification, and its impacts to manufacturing and procurement
• With good understanding of manufacturing and assembly process and cost structure
• Familiar with European drawing style and multi-level BOM.
• Experience of working with any ERP system.
• Experience on new product developing project control
• Above 3 years of managerial experience in foreign invested company leading more than 20 subordinate

• Outstanding team working spirit and excellent communication skills

• Fluent English or German in speaking, writing and reading
