职位描述

PURPOSE OF FUNCTION
To strengthen the IKEA store as a medium by combining the IKEA Commercial Plan with our national and local plans in order to secure the relevance, attractiveness and competitiveness of the IKEA Brand in every local market. By doing this we maximise sales and long-term profitability.
My main responsibilities are:
? optimising the use of the IKEA store layout and store media by developing and implementing range presentation solutions that strengthen the connection between the IKEA offer and the everyday lives of people
? securing a deep knowledge of all store media and clarifying the main purpose of each medium
? developing and implementing efficient and effective store communication, supporting self-choice and the mechanical sales system
? reflecting the IKEA Brand identity and creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support and co-worker areas.
? stimulating and increasing the interest for home furnishing in order to grow the customer base and the market through:
o gaining and applying a deep knowledge of everyday life at home in order to be more relevant and attractive for more people within the store’s primary market area
o using the richness of our range to show many affordable, functional and beautiful home furnishing solutions in distinct and different styles in order to appeal to many individual tastes and needs
o demonstrating how everyday life at home can be improved by using single products or combinations of products
o challenging and encouraging people to see their home in a new way
o creating trust in the IKEA offer by presenting and communicating solutions for a sustainable life at home
o working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I ensure I contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishings in my primary market area (PMA) in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability. Based on deep knowledge of people’s life at home and a high level of home furnishing competence my team and I present and communicate the IKEA offer in ways that make it attractive and relevant to my local market. I am responsible for ensuring we visualise the uniqueness of the IKEA product range within specialty shops, compacts, studios, the Self-serve furniture area, Swedish Food Market and activities throughout the store to distance us from the competition. I ensure we maximise the impact of these store media in order to convert visitors into satisfied customers and stimulate repeat visits by creating vitality in all areas of the store throughout the year. I lead and inspire my team to develop and implement:
? store layout as a commercial tool
? range presentation
? store communication
Together with my team we ensure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of our work by using global tools and best practises.
ASSIGNMENT
Customers
? I have a deep knowledge and understanding of people’s needs and wants, their living situations and
this knowledge to provide home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products that improve people’s life at home.
? I work with my team to show ideas and solutions in many different styles, functions and price profiles to fit many individual tastes and to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA product range.
? My responsibility is to ensure up-to-date specialty shops, compacts, studios, Self-serve furniture area and activity areas thereby creating vitality throughout these areas which exceed our visitors’ expectations.
? I analyse the IKEA Customer Satisfaction survey, Brand Capital and other visitor feedback and use these insights to improve the store experience of our visitors and convert them into satisfied customers.
? I am responsible for working with the layout in my areas of responsibility in order to create a good overview and visual impact and to provide an easy buying process for our customers.
? I work with other functions and my team to ensure that our store is always in shape as new.
? I work with my colleagues to secure that all communication in my areas of responsibility is:
o consistent and understandable
o clear and uncluttered
o supports self-choice and the mechanical sales system
o guiding visitors throughout the store.
? I work with my team and other functions to ensure we are visitor-focused throughout the store. I do this by ensuring:
o all work is created and implemented with visitors in mind
o we minimise disruption when implementing major rebuilds and other day-to-day activities
o we take time to respond to our visitors’ needs when we are working on the shop floor
? I ensure my area of responsibility is always a safe and secure environment for visitors and co-workers.
Commercial/Business
I actively support my Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) manager in implementing the store business plan and the department action plan. I do this to support the optimisation of sales and our long-term growth by:
? ensuring the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation and store communication in order to distance us from the competition.
? ensuring that the range presentation is relevant to the many people’s life at home in my local market and that it accurately reflects demographics, living conditions and our visitors’ needs and wants.
? securing that our solutions reflect a wide variety of styles and functions to meet many individual tastes and to stimulate our visitors to change their home furnishings more often.
? working with other functions on the commercial calendar activities, using store media to ensure vitality in all areas, inside and outside the store, throughout the year.
? influencing and co-operating with the store commercial team, my Com&In manager, my colleagues and other support functions to ensure that we focus on the same priorities.
? securing the use of the layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement the commercial strategies throughout the store.
? using visual merchandising competences and display techniques in specialty shops, compacts, studios, the Self-serve furniture area, Swedish Food Market and activities throughout the store. This allows me to:
o present and communicate the IKEA product range and reflect its width and depth and strengthen our low-price profile on all levels
o ensure that the customer explores all the commercial areas and comes into contact with the whole product range
o choose and locate the appropriate store media and display techniques to support the mechanical sales system and highlight sales priorities.
? working with my team and the commercial team to plan and implement range changes in a simple and cost-conscious way.
? encouraging my team to respond quickly and proactively to commercial opportunities, customer feedback, competition, supply issues and volume commitments.
? educating my team and other functions on how to work with manuals, global directions and tools.
? working with the Interior Designer Manager and the Graphic Communication Leader to ensure
actively supporting and developing co-operation with Sales and In-store Logistics through working closely together, sharing knowledge and respecting each other’s responsibilities to present the range in the most commercial, inspiring and aesthetic way possible.
? taking responsibility for ordering the materials and racking we use in the construction of displays.
I deliver an action plan for my area by:
? supporting the Com&In department plan to reach agreed goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
? creating individual actions plans for each co-worker stating specific goals that support the overall action plan
? ensuring it is understood and owned by all my team
? following up on the action plan and communicating progress to my team.
People
? I recruit my team searching for a combination of IKEA values and specialist competencies (such as visual merchandising, graphic design and store planning). I take into account the unique requirements of the Com&In team to combine practical, aesthetic and commercial skills.
? I lead, inspire and challenge my team to constantly increase their knowledge of people’s life at home and develop their home furnishing competence.
