Job Description
Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Based at: Guangzhou China
Responsible to: Marketing Manager
We’re searching for a Marketing Assistant with strong data analysis skills to support the marketing team by compiling, formatting, and reporting information as well as assisting with running and executing campaigns and promotions. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and is good with computers and IT.
Responsibilities – General:
1. Supports marketing team with collecting information and data in order to run various marketing campaigns and promotions
2. Responsible for picking products based on various criteria for newsletters and promotions working closely with purchasing
department and promotion manager
3. Responsible for controlling and setting prices for promotional items in a manner as to maintain acceptable profit margins but
still move products
4. Work with web analytics to monitor performance of categories and products
5. Conduct reporting and meetings as required
6. Deliver reports to the marketing manager and recommend actions from your insights
Qualification & Competency
1. 2 years relevant experience from similar position in marketing field, preferably from international FMCG company
2. Degree in business, marketing, English or equivalent desirable
3. Familiar with terms such as profit margin and stock level
4. Advanced Microsoft Office user – expert level Microsoft Excel skills
5. Advanced data analysis skills including strong analysis and campaign optimization abilities
6. Google Analytics or other web analytics systems experience desirable
7. Good IT skills, able to learn new software and systems fast
8. Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a timely manner
9. Organized and able to work autonomously
10. Work effectively in a team environment
11. Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
