Responsibilities:

-Ensure on-time shipment of goods by coordination with supplier, Factory Certification, Quality Assurance and forwarder. Monitor & control to achieve smooth operation of A-Z trade process
-Approve samples before shipment in order to make sure merchandise to be shipped have specification & quality conformance to PO and import requirement of destination country.
- Track & report the update merchandiser trend by market research. Communicate closely with buyer and look for opportunity to increase the direct import business.
- Develop, train and motivate assistant merchandiser, evaluate their performance and provide guidance for their development in their merchandising area.
-Demonstrate team-working spirit within the department by supporting other team member when necessary. Assist Merchandising Manager to monitor and take care of special projects.
- Assist product manager to identify, evaluate and develop potential suppliers who can provide excellent value merchandise to Matalan.
- Assist product manager to coordinate buying trip, market research and sharing necessary procedures with supplier and make sure smooth running of the process.
- Assist product manager to ensure QS be transmitted correctly and timely after buying trip in order to allow smooth processing of order

Requirements:
-College Degree holder or above with at least 5 years' working experience in buying office, manufacturer or trading company. Previous working experience in a multinational company is a plus.
-Experience of exporting business to worldwide market especially to UK.
-Strong relevant product knowledge in bath and living area such as bathroom accessories in metal, plastic, ceramics, resin and glass materials, as well as wooden/metal/glass lantern, clocks, furniture, frames, mirrors, etc.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in working with overseas buyers, suppliers and all other counterparts.
-Independent, responsible, proactive and with excellent organization and problem solving skills.
-A good team player
-Willing to handle paperwork and able to work under pressure.
-Excellent command of English/Mandarin, both in written and spoken.
-Good command of MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook) as well as photoshop and AI.
