Job Summary:

Responsible for developing snowboard / Gravis boots or footwear, setting up boots or footwear specification, make sure the all samples quality at high level and in according with Sample Request Form exactly before shipped to customer as well as all shipping should be on time. Work with manufactures for the pattern size grading, trying, procedures and all preparation before prod, make sure manufactures following prod spec exactly and on site QC know the new construction and material quality standard.

Job Duties (Essential Part):

- Communicate with Burton boots / footwear designers and developers for the pattern drawing, construction, new material, new technology and Samples Requested Form, and totally clarify what customers want and all detail of samples.

- Review the specification with Burton boots / footwear developer and technician.

- Go over the SRF, specification and pattern drawing with Sample Room, conduct and make sure the paper pattern maker and operators know how to build the boots / footwear with new pattern new construction and new material

- Check all income material color and quality before used in real samples.

- Follow up with all samples schedule and make sure all samples can be shipped on time, include sales summit samples, team black samples, photo samples, sales samples and confirmation samples.

- Source the specific material and develop new technology to build on boots / footware.

- Communicated with material suppliers on how to develop and use new material and technology, should understand the material process and properties. Negotiate the material price with vendors. Try to get two sets of the latest material catalog, one keep in office one sent to Burton. Address material vendors that our policy to choose supplier: good quality, reasonable price, excellent service and delivery on time.

- Inspect the quality of all samples according to the Samples Checking List before send out.

- Check the full size grading with technician at manufactures, and approve the Boots Grading Chart and Upper Measurement Chart, that’s as a guideline for prod.

- Confirm the color swatch of all material that would be used for photo samples, sales samples and confirmation samples.

- Test the material in lab, and collect the information of material properties, make sure all material used in on snow testing samples and sales samples should match up with Burton standard.

- Collect all material testing information and comments from on snow testing, coordinates with the manufactures, Burton QA and QC personnel to address quality issues/concerns.

- Try to figure out all issues feedback from testing samples, and improve the boots fitness, comfort and durability.

- Work with manufactures closely to transfer boots / footwear making and process to production from samples, ensure boots production beginning on time.

- Others assigned by manager

Requirement:

- 5 years of manufacturing experience in shoes industry, of which 2-3 years directly in shoes development is preferable.

- Working experience on jacket and fabric is preferable.

- Major in manufacturing with at least 3 years college or above , majored in shoes filed is preferable;

- Previous working in boots/shoes factory environment and knowledge is a must

- Able to communicate with both of Mandarin and English. Cantonese is preferable.

- Good computer knowledge & MS Office (Word, Excel…etc.)

- Good analytical and interpersonal skills, team work spirit.

- Can work under pressure.

- Work place in 广州花都区新华镇工业大道
