Key Accountabilities

• Use Pattern Design Software skills in Gerber, Lectra or Optitex PDS systems, to calculate the optimal yields for various product types.
• Use your knowledge of fabrics, to apply pre approved fabric types to costings, ensuring the appropriate cost benefit of the fabric type is applied to the relevant costing.
• Help to source the fabric routes that meet the business needs, and help to establish the fabric supplier matrix
• Communicate with fabric mills and garment vendors on fabric quality improvement to ensure goods are delivered in accordance with Target Performance Requirement
• Assist in maintenance and continuous improvement of existing textile qualities & systems
• Provide technical advice to merchandising, design and buying teams on product quality, sample execution and fit sessions cost engineers re opportunities to improve yield.

Skills and Experience

• Diploma, Certificate or College graduate in Clothing and Textile;
• At least 5 years relevant experience in buying office or manufacturing environment;
• Demonstrate skills, knowledge & experience in textile fabrications, dyeing, printing & finishing production and testing
• 3 years experience in using PDS software in a factory environment, with a working knowledge of pattern making.
• Have worked with PDS software, such as Gerber , Lectra or Optitex.
• Be willing to be a part of a team, sharing expertise and have a willingness to learn new techniques and processes.
• Proficiency in written & spoken in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Well-versed in computer applications - MS Word, Excel
