About the Company:
The Company is a vibrant Shanghai-based international sourcing company, supplying the USA with products from China, and mainly specialized in Houseware, incl. Plastics, Wood and Textile.
Overall Responsibility:
This position requires total management of a line of Textile houseware products. The sourcing manager will be in charge of sourcing qualified factories, inspecting factories, liaising with factories, ensuring production schedules, QC and on-time delivery. This position requires constant and timely communication with the client's US Office. This position also requires assistance in developing stronger business practices, operating processes and systems in the entire company.
Key areas of Responsibility:
- Number one priority is insuring Client is receiving high quality products within the required delivery date
- Communicate with Textile / Dyeing / Printing / Packaging / Assembly factories
- Maintain consistent, timely and clear communication with client's US office
- Support Client's initiative to constantly design and source more products
- Make sure samples are made in a timely manner
- Source qualified new factories
- Liaise with factories to insure on time production and shipment
- Ensure all QC is properly executed
- Maintain production schedules and other project management tracking tools
- Execute all shipping documents and proforma invoices
- Track financial budgets for all products, including travel expenses, courier costs, cell phone expenses, etc..
- Create product manual that show production processes, product requirements, QC procedures, shipping marks, etc... This will be called the product bible.
- Provide weekly updates to management and Client
- Assist company in developing a stronger infrastructure with proper systems and processes in place
- To perform any other duties as directed and assigned by the Company at any time and from time to time

Location:
Our office is located in Jing'an District, 5-10 minutes walk from Jing'an Subway Station (Line 2 and Line 7). The primary factories you will work with are located in Zhejiang and Jiangsu province, which can be easily reached by train/car.
Qualifications
- Over 5-years experience in Textile (!), preferably houseware textile
- At least 3 years experience in trading a big advantage
- Experience at Industrial Sourcing is strongly recommended
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, graduate level degree is preferred
- Written and spoken fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
