Accounting

Process account payable, reimbursement, inter-group receipts and payments 

Process AR/AP in SwireShip and process account reconciliation between CNCo and subagent/client

AR

Inform sales/customer departments on outstanding debtor listing on weekly basis to ensure debtors are collected within the agreed timeline.

Ensure all debtor balances are reconciled, reviewed and cleared. This involves liaising with sales/customer departments to ensure the reconciliations are up to date.

Highlight problem debtors to management and take remedial action as necessary.

Develop a proficient understanding of Swireship, including data entry and the manifest

Authorise agent funding payments only after documents have been posted to accounting system.

AP

Ensure all incoming invoices are verified in our record timely and precisely.

Manage invoices distribution to relevant department to double check and managers for approval as per the Authority List, and take prompt action when manual interference required. To input all invoices data into accounting system interfacing timely and accurately.

Process invoice for urgent payment into accounting system timely and accurately.

Ensure that all suppliers are paid in accordance with credit terms and to maximize the working capital by extending credit where feasible and reasonable

To file accounts payable documents

To reconcile major creditor statements monthly, minor ones quarterly, and ensure all items appearing  on the creditor statements relate to current invoices

To follow up and clear reconciling items on a timely basis.

Post daily bank transactions and prepare monthly bank accounts reconciliations.

To complete relevant monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner with all outstanding items cleared on a timely basis.

Assist in all aspects for month end closing.

People Management

Ability to lead team

Qualifications

A university/College degree qualification majoring in Accounting or Finance.

            

Technical Skills

Minimum 16 years of accounting and finance experience with VAT tax return experience, preferable within shipping agency or freight forwarding business in multi-national company

PRC intermediate accountant qualification （中级会计职称）preferable

Sound knowledge of local laws and regulations

High-level of proficiency in MS Office applications and IT applications especially Excel, Word, Outlook,   Macro. Demonstrated ability tdeal with large volume of data with a strong attention tdetail.

Sound knowledge of accounting software, i.e.  Kingdee or UF

Exposure to SAP system is an advantage
