(continuous process improvement)

JOB PURPOSE

• Responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining local applications using assorted programming and database techniques in order to boost operational productivity
• System projects deployment and implementation

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Be able to develop independently local applications using one or two common programming languages and database techniques (e.g./ .Net, Java, Python, Delphi, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Access, etc.) 

• Be able to use VBA to develop Macros in Excel, Word, Excess, Powerpoint, etc.

• BI experience with Cognos, , Tableau, Qlikview, or Business Object is preferred 

• Work with end users to detect opportunities for operational process automation

• Ensure the good quality of the applications developed

• Organize system user acceptance testing and training to end users

• Documentation of the applications developed 

• Take the primary support role on the in-house TMS / EDI systems related projects

BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree (college degree can also be accepted if the candidate’s programming skill is excellent)

• Minimum 3 years experiences in application development (programming using aforementioned tools)

• Good interpersonal communication skill

• Written and spoken English is preferred to be at an agreeable level

• Knowledge in freight forwarding business will be a plus
