Position: Process Improvement Manager (Lean Manager)
Report to: General Manager
Location: Suzhou


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Map out the different processes in the several levels and design and implement improvements to further improve the way of working in the organization and to become the "Best in Class" (by external auditor)
To transform the organization into a customer oriented organization by applying the Process Way of Working
Implement/improve systems and processes that deliver improvement towards 100% conformance to customer requirements
Setup and drive, under supervision of the General Manager and in cooperation with colleagues, rigorous metrics related to the BSC to evaluate performance and drive reduction in variability/defects in critical and important business processes
Strengthen the improvement culture and process way of working in manufacturing and related processes. Implement and drive the continuous improvement activities of change management process and best practices.
Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports the company's strategic initiatives
Develop lean manufacturing in close cooperation with others and drive continuous improvement in the complete organization inclusive of suppliers and partners
Strengthen the improvement culture and process way of working in production and related processes. Implement and drive the continuous improvement activities of change management process and best practices.
Working with managers to implement company's policies and goals
Setting up the strategy planning for the manufacturing and related processes
Leads and/or facilitates top-down & bottom-up continuous improvement activities
Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts
Provide lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short-term and long-term business improvements
Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste while driving customer satisfaction (internal and external), cost reduction, and improved working capital performance
Working through site leadership to lead the site continuous improvement team, and corporate Lean initiatives and reporting.
Leading Kaizen events, improvement projects and other activities that execute the individual manufacturing site improvement plan. Updating and re-prioritize the plans, to maintain focus on the most critical site objectives. Coach and mentor manufacturing personnel on Lean Manufacturing Best Practice to become the standard operation procedure of the organization.


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) is preferred with relative experience. Certification and experience leading Lean and/or Six Sigma process improvement projects with demonstrated results is preferred. To succeed in this challenging position, you must have significant experience and be an expert in Lean Manufacturing tools, concepts and methodology.
Strong influencing, negotiation, coaching and consulting skills
Aptitude for analyzing business needs, determine appropriate solutions and/or opportunities and deploy them
Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving techniques/tools including six sigma, 8D, QOS, DOE, Hoshin, Kaizen and balanced scorecard and goal setting
An understanding of / experience with deployment of production system concepts
Change agent - advice and counsel management in developing strategies to drive implementation of initiatives
Minimum of 5 years leading Lean and/or Six Sigma process improvement projects. Having a proven track record
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
Strong team builder and worker, clear minded, target and result oriented
Having a great ambition of success in career and working with active, sedulous and serious attitude
Good leadership skills in coaching and motivating others, good personal influence skills
Excellent communication inside and outside the organization in English and Chinese (verbal and written)
