职位描述：
MISSION:
To plan and follow Product Development Projects managing a team of Engineers and other company resources in order to guarantee the schedule, quality and cost of resulting development.
REPORTING TO: Chief Engineering Manager.
PEOPLE IN CHARGE: Product Engineers (2 to 5)
MAIN TASKS:
? Product Development: Manage global resources of the company to guarantee the schedule, the quality and the cost of the developed product under his responsibility. Manage planning documents, report status and generate action plans for any deviations.
? Product Introduction in manufacturer: In collaboration with the Process Engineering Team, deal with and support potential supplier’s teams about technical feasibility of developed products during the Engineer Building and Pilot Run stages. Assure the product to be introduced to the production line smoothly.
? Team Management: Manage and support a Team of Engineers during the developments. Evaluate and guide every team member with the objective of continuous improvement. Arrange follow up meetings periodically and generate the corresponding reports. Collaborate with other Engineering Teams (Toolings, Process, Quality, Laboratory, etc)
? Supplier’s Development: Identify critical components on the products and develop reliable and cost-competitive suppliers for each one of them in collaboration with the Costing Team. Evaluate and validate current and new suppliers.
? HEADQUARTER’s Interaction: Be in continuous contact with headquarters teams (Engineering, Design, Marketing), prepare reports and follow up their tasks in order to integrate them in the overall product development lifecycle.
DESIRED PROFILE:
? University Degree (Engineer) with at least 6 years of experience working with similar products and at least 2 years of experience managing a team.
? Master degree or Product Management certifications preferred.
? Solid knowhow on related technical issues such as plastic materials, plastic injection process, tooling development and international standards.
? Basic Know how on Product Development software (SOLIDWORKS desirable).
? Solid team building, team work and team management abilities.
? Organized, methodical and confidential.
