Role Objectives
? Lead contract management of VMI Hub program and materials (commodities).
? Plan, develop and implement activities related to the strategic sourcing and procurement of OSP suppliers of materials.
? Support & co-ordinate supplier & distribution purchase consolidation where most cost effective to do so.
? Work with Supply Chain team and Factory Operations team (ie. PMC, Purchasing & Sourcing) to plan and manage the inventory and demand planning of purchased/sourced commodities.
? Work with R&D and Component team to drive cost reduction programs and initiatives
? Lead Commodity Strategies, differentiate among VMI Hub, JIT, Min-Max and Discrete Order policy
? Lead negotiation, cost saving realization and projection plan among materials (commodities).
Requirements
? Minimum 5 years experience in commodity sourcing and product development is essential
? Low cost country sourcing experience
? Good knowledge of products and the market – one if not all of power supply products, magnetic, PCB, metal fabrications.
? Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
? Excellent planning, interpersonal, communications, and facilitation skills.
? Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
? Strong project management skills.
? Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
? Good knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts and business law.
? Strong knowledge of IT & software systems including strong skills on excel pivot tables and power point presentations.
